Songs of praise led by Music Department and TBDF rang through the hall as the congregation harmonized – Hon makaih Toupa, Jesu lou in and Hon huainawn in. A short mass prayer in between and they took the chairs soon after the song, Na thupina.

Short sharing by Pa Hausuanthang on the topic of – what fathers expects from their wives and kids. He invoked the discussion amid air of amusement stating our kids should consider us role models irrespective of our shortcomings and wives are expected to be an early riser, good companion, trust-worthy, homely, clean and admirable.

Nu Manlian, on behalf of Baptist Dorcas Fellowship (BDF) shared the sentiment of all mothers by saying that they respect all fathers, ask forgiveness for all incompetence and prayed for their well being. She was followed by BDF choir – Aman hon ngaidam lai ding (He will forgive you) and presented each fathers a hanky as a token of love and appreciation.

BCD presentation by Upa Thianzakham, Superintendant, BCD shows an emotional video clip of a conversation between a father and a son. It portrays the need to love and respect our parents.

Pastor V Nenglian addresses the congregation through the theme – Lametna petu – Hope Giver and talks about how Father’s Day came into existence and a reiteration of the importance of fathers. We can show our love for our fathers whether they with us or no more by showing our respect to them and to our fellow beings. He stressed that the place of a father is hope giver – Colossians 3:21

He further spoke about the importance of our faith foundation. God is our foundation, God is our strength and accordingly, out trust and comfort should be God. Philippians 4:13. Not self-confidence but a step by step growth in the arms of God will makes us humble, tolerance and the strength to forgive. When fathers lose the hope and happiness from God, the same is leveraged to their sons and daughters. Without God, all our lives are meaningless. No matter where we stand, our lives become meaningful in the shadow of the Lord. God has given us a living hope through Christ Jesus.

Fathers are the source of hope for children, family and society.

With this, the Pastor ended his sermon and shouted a prayer for all fathers. He seeks God’s blessing for them and asked that we may see His face when we look at theirs.

The worship continued with brief reports on Nepal Missionary field outreach from Linda Pauli, Chingnu Ngaihte, L/Upa Tuanmuanthang, K. Muanthang, Nu Ngaikhanching. The group also presented a quartet and a choir. The report was concluded by Pa N Vumsuan, Chairman, Missions Committee. As per the report, Nepal Field currently have 31 Stations, 29 Churches and 1509 Members. The service ends with thanks giving and blessing by Upa Damsawmthang.
