WORSHIP SERVICE (16th March, 2014)

Brief Recap of the Worship service:

Worship Team led the congregation in Praise & Worship followed by mass prayer & collection of offerings. Upa Chinsum made the offeratory prayer.

Pastor Nenglian made a brief report on the Pastors Fellowship’s Pulpit Exchange Programme of 9th March, 2014 at Deeper Life Ministry, North Delhi where he was the main speaker. The Pastor also gave a brief introduction on the launching programme of Indian Christian Media Association which he had attended with Pa Lianpu Tonsing on 15th March, 2014. He further stated his observation that collaborating/involving with the work of the Association would be a desirable step forward for the Church in the Lord’s mission. The Pastor then delivered the Sunday Sermon based on John 10:7-10 with the theme “Abundance/fullness in Jesus Christ”.

After the sermon, the Congregation sang a hymn and the worship service was then concluded with a benediction by Upa G.Damsawmthang.

Brief summary of the Pastor’s sermon:

Based Bible verses       : John 10:7-10

Theme                         : Abundance/fullness in Jesus Christ.

The occurrences/events in the unseen spiritual war usually unfold and manifests in our lives. As may be seen in John 10:10, the objective of Satan (the thief) is to steal and rob us of all our glory and happiness, destroy our lives and condemn us to eternal death. Satan entices us with those that we most desire and enjoy. The various ways and means with which we seek happiness, pleasure and peace of mind could be the very instruments by which Satan tries to manipulate and destroy us, while we are totally unaware of it. Satan wants to steal and destroy all our goodness, glory and pride in the Lord. We, as Christians, are all involved in this spiritual war and it is imperative to introspect whether we are being manipulated through these things in our everyday lives. We are living a precarious life if we could not be helped when we are in need of help.

Jesus said He is the ‘gate’ and whoever enters through Him will be saved. There is no fullness/abundance and security without Jesus. Jesus must be the foundation in our lives and we must always involve Jesus as we fight this spiritual war. Not only can Jesus replenish and give us back whatever Satan took away from us, He can even give us eternal life. Our lives should be based in Jesus because we can have an abundant life only through Him.
