February 3, 2013

The worship service started with songs and praise led by the Worship Team . Sunday offering was collected and Elder Thianzakham led the congregation in thanking God for the offering collected. This Sunday commissioning of Prayer Cells Convenors took place wherein the pastor commissioned 27 Convenors for the Prayers Cells in Delhi.  All together there are 28 Prayer Cells under the umbrella of EBC, Dwarka. The 28th Prayer Cell which is in Gurgaon will be looked after by the pastor and an Elder .The pastor prayed to the Lord to guide the Prayer Cells Convenors, and   to give them the strength to work for the kingdom of the Lord.

A special prayer service was conducted by the pastor for the members of the church who had their birthdays, marriage anniversaries, exams, interviews to appear as well as members who got promotions, lost loved ones in this month of February.

Sunday message was delivered by a guest speaker Pastor G.Thangsanglian who highlighted his message, which was “Rebuilding the Work. Reconstructing the People”. He read passages from Nehemiah 2:17-18, which talks about the rebuilding of Jerusalem. In our lives today, what is to be rebuilt? The speaker asked the members of the church to look at our self again spiritually. Do we love God like the way he love us or do we love him only when we need him, do we love God conditionally  and make our worldly pleasures take over our spiritual commitment. It is time that we rebuilt our commitment to God.  The speaker stressed upon the fact that we should be like Nehemiah, a true follower of God, who never comprised his love for God. His favorite position was the kneeling position which the Devil feared the most. There are so many inspiring lessons that we can learn from Nehemiah. The speaker narrated his own personal experience and how he totally surrendered to God for a personal crisis he was suffering from and how God took care of it. God always knows  what is  right for us  and his timing is always perfect. If we feel that God is far from us, who is to be blame. It is us who are keeping distance from God. If we reach out to God, he is always ready to  receive us with open arms.

In this beginning of a  new year we are grateful to God for guiding us through another year but have we pondered upon the fact that we are a year nearer to enter the kingdom of God, another year closer for Our savior Lord Jesus to come. Are we so caught up with this earthly life that we have stop  rebuilding ourself for God? If we have, it is not too late, let us start today to rebuild ourselves and others.  It was an inspiring message delivered by the speaker. After the message, the congregation was led  in singing praise to God by  the worship team . The service concluded with benediction by Elder Kam Suanthang.
